Everything we offer at SamaraCare

Our Services

From Counseling to Spiritual Direction

Counseling

Everyone sometimes finds themselves struggling without knowing how to cope, what to do, or where to get help. After all, navigating our mental health is often a matter of applying skills and techniques that aren’t taught or discussed anywhere outside of counseling. Most of us need to learn how to manage our emotions, deal with intrusive negative self-talk, and communicate effectively in our relationships.

Psychiatric Care

SamaraCare offers in-person and virtual outpatient psychiatric services. This includes those who may have medical conditions that affect their psychological well-being.

Our psychiatrists and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner specialize in working with people who have mild to moderate difficulty functioning at home, school or work.

Autism Services

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurological and developmental disorder that affects how people interact with others, communicate, learn, and behave.

SamaraCare has an expert team with significant clinical experience working with children and young adults with ASD. Our services include: psychiatry, medication management, counseling, groups, training and school consultations. We prioritize support for families including therapy for parents and siblings.

Education & Wellness

Fortunately, awareness and acceptance of mental health issues have grown significantly in recent years, leading to more open conversations and greater support for those affected.

SamaraCare’s educational and wellness programming is intended to help maintain this momentum. To continue to increase community understanding, we offer both in-person and virtual customized mental health presentations and workshops. This programming provides an environment for participants to learn and practice usable skills that can help them in their daily life. These workshops are offered to schools, service clubs, congregations, local organizations and all interested groups.

Spiritual Direction

“We are not human beings having a spiritual experience, rather we are spiritual beings having a human experience.” – Teilhard de Chardin

Whether you consider yourself spiritual, spiritual but not religious, spiritually questioning, religious or spiritually curious, Spiritual Direction might be what you’re looking for. Spiritual Direction is an opportunity to meet with a trained Spiritual Director to explore your unique personal spiritual thoughts, questions and experiences. It offers you the opportunity to examine the spiritual side of being human and helps you unfold your sacred story.*

Telehealth Options

In-Person and Virtual Counseling

We offer both in-person and/or virtual counseling sessions. Both are HIPAA-compliant. Virtual (on-line) therapy consists of meeting with your therapist via a video conferencing platform on your computer, tablet or phone. Virtual counseling (teletherapy) is a relatively new way to receive care. If you’re thinking about it, here are some benefits to consider:

  • Convenience in meeting with a therapist from the comfort of your own home
  • No time spent traveling to appointments
  • Access to care providers with specialized expertise regardless of their geographic location

Many insurance companies now cover virtual therapy. Always check with your insurance provider regarding your coverage for mental health services.

Mental Health Screening

Our mental health screening is a great way to determine if you or someone you care about should connect with a mental health professional.
